Turkey Day

Thanksgiving is a wonderful day filled with food, family, football, and rest. Since Maggie's Dedication was Sunday, LL's family stayed around to help us celebrate Turkey day. We did it big time with the "the best dressed turkey in town" (see picture), ham (my favorite), sweet potato casserole, dressing (with no sage), green bean casserole, and on and on. In addition to LL's family, my mom and dad also joined us for the festivities and brought turkey. My dad lovingly named the turkey Tomette, since he said it had to be a female since it had skinny legs. It is also important to note that no mashed potatoes were served, as I was told that it is not Southern to have these on Thanksgiving.

It is always important to stop on this day and remember the things for which you are thankful. I am thankful for so many things, but this year I am especially for God moving us back here and that I now have two special women in my life, Laura Lynn and my daughter Maggie.

What are you thankful for?
